Ballmer Hears a Yahoo?

Sunday, March 2, is Dr. Seuss' birthday. Like most of us, I grew up with his books and read them to my own children--over and over and over again--when they were younger. In fact, there are several I can still recite by heart.

Indeed, the infectious meter and humor of Dr. Seuss' words are ingrained in most of us. ("I do not like them in a box / I do not like them with a fox...")

So, on one particulary crazy day here, a colleague and I started IM-ing in Dr. Seuss-speak (of course we were corresponding about work), which got us riffing on possible book titles had Dr. Seuss been in tech journalism.

"Ballmer Hears a Yahoo"

"Green IT and Spam"

"One Phish, Two Phish, Dread Phish, Few Phish"

"Hop on POP (Post Office Protocol)"

"The DAT in the Spat" (OK, that last one was a real reach.)

Anyway, with sincere reverence for--and apologies to--the memory of Dr. Seuss.
