NetApp Ranked No. 5 on Fortune's 'Best Places to Work List'

NetApp, which has a great cafeteria, fully stocked workout facilities, comfortable chairs, a big parking lot and cheerful managers, has done it again.

For the ninth straight year, the Sunnyvale, Calif.-based storage company is included on Fortune's "100 Best Companies to Work For" list for 2011, landing at No. 5--two places up from its 2010 ranking.

This is the third straight year NetApp was selected for the Top 10 and the fifth consecutive year it was ranked in the Top 15. Two years ago, in 2009, NetApp topped them all at No. 1.

"Earning a Top 10 ranking for three consecutive years is a great acknowledgement of our strong culture and our talented employees," said NetApp's top guy, president and CEO Tom Georgens.

To be sure, the honor isn't all about food, gyms and plenty of parking places. It's about a positive corporate culture, competitive salaries, a great benefit package and down-to-earth management style.

If only all companies could follow this company's lead.

The full list will be published in the Feb. 7, 2011, edition of Fortune.
