Apple Must Stop Doing Other People's Dirty Work

Apple's announcements that it would no longer ship Flash as part of the core Mac OS X install and that Java for Mac OS X was "deprecated" may have caught some observers by surprise, but these are smart choices for the company. It may have been necessary to nurture these technologies when Mac OS X was struggling, but it's time for the owners of these technologies to step up to their responsibilities.
