New DMCA Exemptions Permit Cell Phone Jailbreaking and Unlocking

The Copyright Office of the Library of Congress announced six new exemptions to the terms of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act on Monday, allowing for limited bypassing of DVD protections, the jailbreaking and unlocking of cell phones, and other defined purposes.
