Dell still wasn't clear about this "Dell Uninstaller Utility" I mentioned in the follow up to my crapware column, so I asked for clarification. I searched on Dell's site again and didn't find any reference to an "uninstaller."

Dell's statement is that the utility did indeed ship "at the end of May." It is only available on factory-configured Windows Vista systems, not Windows XP, and not as a download. It seems the application is tailored to the software installed on the system.

It still seems odd to me that there would be no reference to it on the Dell site.
