Phishing Phinals

Check out McAfee's 10 question phishing quiz. You are presented with real and phony e-mails and web sites and told to pick the genuine one. Some of the questions are easy, some are quite hard. I was really nervous. It wouldn't do for me to get a bad score. I got 10 out of 10, but there were two or three questions where I was really unsure of my answer. In all fairness to myself, in some of the questions you don't have all of the information you'd have in real life; for instance, you can't hover over the links in the e-mails, since McAfee only gives you a graphic image of them. But it's still fun. |

Nice test, safety guru! But tricky. The easy questions had facts (bad url, or asking information that is never asked like credit cards). To reply the difficult ones though, one must rely on instinct and clues. Thats problematic.
The reason I chose the correct Chase.com site was mostly due to the chat option and that a serious company would not use phrases like my.something.
I could recognize amazon, only because I knew about the two options after the email entry. Not sure I could spot it if I wasn't a customer.
6th was pure instict (didn't like the bold header).
Well...
