I was surprised to find out today that when you buy a Windows XP system from Dell, even today, it comes with Internet Explorer 6. This is some time since IE7, clearly a better, more secure browser, shipped.

I asked Dell and was told that they have no plans to move their XP systems over to IE7. Perhaps they don't want to make things complicated for their XP support and hope it will all move to Vista as soon as possible.
