iPhone Apps for Job Seekers
|
PCMag.com has a nice little gallery piece dubbed "The Best iPhone Apps for the Unemployed," though some of it, frankly, could be for just about anyone, since it's not all job-search related. It's still fun weekend reading and worth a gander for you iPhone addicts. Here are the ones that are job-searching and job-hunting specific:
Three of these are well-established players of the Web (Careerbuilder, LinkedIn and Craigslist), but all look to be helpful if you want to use the iPhone to its full potential as a GPS and time-saving, efficiency-boosting device. From the PCM article:
Some of the other apps the gallery talks about include a fun one about how to tie all the different ties out there (you know, gentlemen, for when you wear a suit on an interview) and a number of Wi-Fi locators and appointment/calendaring apps, which there is not a shortage of with the iPhone. Try those out and see which works for you. I am inclined to think that the beamME CV is going to be one of the best ways to use your iPhone while job hunting on the go, from anywhere. Now that's efficient mobility. I'm sure no one wants to be attaching documents and typing cover letters on that thing regardless of how nice the touch-screen keyboard is on the iPhone. Let me know which iPhone apps really work in job-hunting scenarios. |

It would be great if someone would port this app for the Android OS!
